WHO WE ARE
Born from Purpose,
Fuelled by Love
Inspired by a personal life story and driven by purpose, the HELLO WORLD Readers Club was founded with a simple but powerful belief; every child carries extra ordinary potential within them and this can only be maximised with the right guidance and enabling environment.
In many parts of Africa, children are bright and curious however they often lack access to engaging programs that make learning exciting and practical. We exist to change that.
What started as a small idea to help children enjoy reading has grown into a structured learning community where they build literacy skills, confidence and creativity through fun interactive sessions.
Meet the Founder
My name is Bernice, a lover of books, children and all the magic that happens when these two meet.
I was that child whose favorite period in school was library period; borrowed novels from friends at every opportunity and my mum recounts how I read out loud in hospital waiting areas from a very young age while everyone around looked on in amazement and admiration. I loved reading a lot but growing up, it never felt like enough of a thing to own proudly.
That changed when I became an adult and finally gave myself permission to embrace it fully. Today I buy every book I want, tap into my own creative power, and seeking to build a community around the very hobby I once felt I had to hide.
The HELLO WORLD Readers Club was born from this journey. My hope is simple, that no child grows up feeling their passion is too small to matter. That parents feel encouraged to nurture what lights their children up. And that every tiny human who walks through this space leaves a little more confident, a little more curious and a whole lot more themselves.
I am so glad you are here.
